The Holidays are a Time of Nostalgia

And what better way to ring them in than with a blend composed of wistful, classic coffees. This mix of a dry-processed lot from Ethiopia and a wet-hulled offering from Sumatra calls back to the original coffee blend, Mocha Java.

This year's Ethiopian component is a dry-processed coffee from members of the Ardi washing station. It lends the blend its rich, deep fruitiness. Back in the blend is an old favorite from Sumatra. Hailing from the famed Aceh region in northern Sumatra, Ketiara is a woman owned and managed cooperative. Here the coffees are processed in the "wet hulled" method that has made Sumatra famous for its flavor profile.

Together, these coffees create our version of one of the world's original coffee blends, Mocha Java.

12 years running, this annual holiday release has become a source of nostalgia itself, and we are honored to be a part of so many traditions through the years. 

This year's packaging hearkens back to old TV ads that drove up the spirit of the season with playful whimsy. We hope it brings to mind the simple joys of tinker toys, Lincoln Logs, and opening gifts next to crackling fires and steaming hot mugs of freshly made coffee.
