MORE INFO:
Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. For centuries, coffee has grown freely in backyards, on small family farms, and across the countryside, cultivating thousands of unique coffee varieties. The vast genetic diversity of Ethiopian coffee creates a spectrum of flavors – from delicate flowers, to ripe stone fruit, to bold berries – making Ethiopia one of the most loved and enjoyed coffee origins in the world.
This washed coffee is from the famed Yirgacheffe region in southern Ethiopia. Over 1,000 producers, whose farms average two hectare each, contributed coffees to this lot which was processed at the Naga Singage Adorsi Washing Station in Aricha. The mill has been under the management of Testi coffee, an exporter based in Addis, since 2018 and has seen quality improvements year after year resulting from continued investment. In addition to mill renovation, Testi has also invested in a local school for continued education in the community.
