MORE INFO
Café Pacas has managed Finca La Esperanza since November 2010. This expansive and picturesque farm, located in Cantón El Porvenir, Municipio de Chalchuapa, Santa Ana, is celebrated for producing exceptional quality coffee. Spanning elevations from 1,000 masl to 1,750 masl, the farm's unique topography and significant elevation changes necessitate a well-constructed road system.
One of Finca La Esperanza’s most distinctive features is its biodiverse shade, which plays a key role in the production of its high-quality coffee. Beginning in 2012, Finca La Esperanza underwent a comprehensive renovation to address the challenges posed by aging coffee trees with inefficient root systems. The farm was redesigned as a large varietal garden, divided into 18 distinct lots, each planted with a specific coffee varietal. To date, 70% of the farm has been replanted with varietals such as Pacas, Red Bourbon, Pacamara, Orange Bourbon, Kenya, Bernardina, Heirloom, and Moka.
Situated in the North West region, Finca La Esperanza benefits from a favorable climate and is shielded from wind, allowing it to produce some of Café Pacas' highest-quality coffees. The farm has received several awards in recognition of its exceptional contributions to the coffee industry.
