Allow us to give you a peek behind the curtains of a day at the Kaldi’s Roastery. Each morning, the entire team gathers for 15 minutes to discuss goings-on, ways we can improve our workflows, and learn more about each other. At the end of each of these meetings, we go around the room and announce anything that makes us grateful. We find that this has been an important way to start our day, and we recognize the power of acknowledging what is good in our lives no matter the time.
And thus we introduce the Gratitude Blend. A part of our culture is knowing how important gratitude is in any circumstance, but it somehow becomes ever more essential in times like these. We want Gratitude Blend to be our way of saying how appreciative we are for every member of the Kaldi’s team, for anyone that purchases the blend, and for the Gateway Resilience Fund for assisting not just them but everyone in the STL community that’s being affected by COVID-19. We are all in this together, and we will take care of each other, and for that we are grateful.
The Gratitude Blend may taste familiar to long-time customers of Kaldi’s. Its main component is Fair Trade Organic Peru Rutas del Inca, a perennial favorite that feels at this point as comforting as it is delicious with notes of apple, honey, and chocolate that comes together in an exceptionally balanced way. We are so thankful for the work of the Rutas del Inca cooperative and the quality that they bring us every year, and this makes it perhaps the perfect coffee for such an endeavor. It is being blended with our Brazil Serra do Cabral, another lively and fruity coffee from our long time partners at Ecoagricola.
The Gratitude Blend celebrates what makes our community so special: our care for one another, our ability to rise up and come together, and the unbreakable bonds that we share.
