Guatemalan coffees are often known for their balance, sweetness, and everyday drinkability. This coffee from Atitlán is an excellent representation of that profile.
Monja Blanca is named after the national flower of its home country. Grown near the water on the volcanic slopes in Atitlán, the conditions are perfect for a smooth and sweet coffee. Here, nutrient-rich soil combines with hot, dry days and cool nights to produce a coffee full of deep, chocolate sweetness and the apple-like acidity. Mill owner Juan Fransisco Pira rewards farmers with premiums for producing high quality, which has led to exceptional consistency year over year.
We’re proud to feature this coffee in several of our blends, and on its own as a single origin. It is roasted more towards the medium side of things in order to amplify its inherent sweetness further.
