Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. For centuries, coffee has grown freely in backyards, on small family farms, and across the countryside, cultivating thousands of unique coffee varieties. The vast genetic diversity of Ethiopian coffee creates a rainbow of flavors -- from delicate flowers, to ripe stone fruit, to bold berries -- making Ethiopia one of the most loved and enjoyed coffee origins in the world.
Our latest coffee from Ethiopia is a bright and juicy washed-processed coffee from the famed Yirgacheffe region in Southern Ethiopia. Over 1,000 producers, whose farms average two hectare each, contributed coffees to this lot which was processed at the Naga Singage Adorsi Washing Station in Aricha. The producers’ care in growing, picking and processing gives this coffee a refreshingly clean and sweet complexity that reminds us why we never tire of tasting new coffees from Ethiopia.
