Colombia Monserrate is our longest standing relationship and one of our favorites. The village of Monserrate is located in southwest Huila along the Cordillera mountain range, near the larger town of La Plata (two short plane rides and two bus rides from Bogota). We are always amazed at how good this coffee is, year after year. In addition to buying the microlots from a few of the producers, we also buy the Community Lot. After the competition, the top 10 coffees are set aside to be bought individually. All the other coffee is blended together into what we call the Community Lot.
