Guatemalan coffees are often known for their balance, sweetness and everyday drinkability. This one is no different, and it’s fittingly named after the national flower of its home country. Grown near the water on the volcanic slopes in Atitlán, the conditions are perfect for a smooth, everyday coffee: nutrient-rich soil combines with hot, dry days and cool nights to produce a coffee full of deep, chocolate sweetness and the apple-like acidity for which Guatemalan coffee is so well known. Mill owner Juan Fransisco Pira rewards farmers with premiums for producing high quality, which has led to exceptional consistency year over year. We’re proud to feature this coffee in several of our blends, and on its own as a single origin.
