2017 marks the tenth consecutive year we have bought coffee from our partners in Monserrate, Colombia. It is our longest standing relationship and one of our favorites. We visited Monserrate again in August 2016 where we judged in their annual “Best of Monserrate” competition and visited the village and farms. Cesar’s coffee came in 7th place in the competition, out of around 40 entries. He is also the brother of Oscar Medina, another of the farmers with whom we have a longstanding relationship. His coffee really stood out on the table for us, and with his relationship with Oscar, we knew we had to bring his coffee to Kaldi’s. We hope you enjoy it!
