September was one of our busiest months for events. Loufest and the MS 150 fell on the same weekend, with Pedal the Cause following two weeks after. Our team was hard at work getting everything together to ensure the events were successful.
Loufest, as always, was a lot of fun for everyone involved! We were able to serve cold brew, shaken honey almond cold brews, hibiscus ginger iced tea, and introduce our new nitro cold brew. Music and sunshine was exactly what we all needed after days of thunderstorms; we were lucky the skies cleared long enough for everyone to enjoy the beautiful festival. It is always great to participate in an event with so many other talented members of the St. Louis food and drink community. We’re already counting down the days until next year!
The MS 150 is a wonderful event we are always so proud to be a part of. A few members of our team made the trip out to Godfrey, Illinois to serve coffee to the Kaldi’s Bike Team the morning of each race. With the devotion of our team and loyalty of our guests, we have been able to help raise over $68,000 this year alone. This is a foundation very close to our hearts as a company, and we are very grateful for every donation received in order to help find a cure for this terrible disease.
We have been an in-kind event sponsor for Pedal the Cause since its beginning in 2010. Pedal the Cause has been able to raise over $12 million dollars to date, and all of the proceeds go to cancer research. This year we were able to participate in Taste the Cause the night before the race on Sunday where our team served up cold brew on tap and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We are excited to be able to partner with this wonderful foundation year after year, knowing that we can help make a difference in cancer research.
These events mean so much to us each year. It is a way for us to reach out to the amazing community we are a part of. It is a great way for our team members to see a different side of what we do, and with their help we will be able to do even more.
